Give a Heart to Africa
Changing the lives of women in Tanzania
In the patriarchal society of Tanzania only 5% of girls finish secondary school. Without education and guidance, most women end up serving their husbands or struggling to provide as a single parent. GHTA is a non-profit organization that empowers women with the skills to improve their situations and pull themselves out of poverty by providing free vocational training.
The School of St Jude
The School of St Jude is a pioneering leader in charitable education within Africa. The Founder, Gemma Sisia, opened the school in 2002 with a big dream to give free, quality education to impoverished children. This remains their mission today. They provide free education to 1,800 bright, poor primary and secondary students, support 100s of graduates with access to higher education, and offer more than 20,000 government school students with volunteer teachers each year. 97% of St Jude’s secondary graduates access higher education supported by Beyond St Jude’s or other means. Located across three campuses, they provide boarding for all secondary students and employ around 300 Tanzanian staff.
St Jude’s promotes a holistic, well-rounded education so their students can do more than succeed; they empower them to challenge the status quo, find solutions to assist the 45 million Tanzanians living in poverty, and become the future leaders their country needs. 100% of St Jude’s students and scholars are on scholarships.
Fame
FAME is an organization entirely focused on advancing quality medical care in rural Tanzania. From the beginning, we set out to provide communities in the Northern Highlands of Tanzania with a unique healthcare experience – one marked by patient-centered care and high-quality service. In that spirit, FAME endeavors to meet the medical needs of ordinary Tanzanian people, including underserved populations in the most rural parts of the region.

As the Covid-19 pandemic has clearly shown us, tourism directly impacts conservation and communities. The benefits of visitors' physical presence, in addition to their crucial revenue spend, are critical to the protection of natural areas that are home to unique flora and fauna.
We aim to encourage travelers to visit vulnerable areas that need conservation help, habitat and biodiversity protection, and community support.

In appreciation for all the beauty and inspiration this amazing country has given us, it is time to GIVE BACK. It is our privilege to support several humanitarian projects and conservation efforts that have a positive impact the lives of the local people and wildlife in real, tangible ways. As a direct result of our efforts, children have gotten the basic medical attention they needed to survive and a proper education to rise above otherwise hopeless circumstances; more precious animals, some critically endangered, now have a real chance at sustained survival in the wild where they belong.
